Everton vs Chelsea: Team news, injury concerns, potential lineup


Chelsea will travel to Everton Saturday afternoon with the hope of defeating The Toffees for first time since Sam Allardyce took charge.
Antonio Conte’s side and Everton will meet at Goodison Park in Saturday’s early kick off in what will be both club’s final outing before Christmas.
The reverse fixture ended 2-0 at Stamford Bridge in favour but Everton are rejuvenated under the guidance of Allardyce.
For Everton, Allardyce is likely to stick with the XI which beat Swansea 3-1 on Monday evening.
Morgan Schneiderlin and Idrissa Gueye will take up the central midfield places while Wayne Rooney operates from a more attacking role.
Potential starting XI: Pickford; Kenny, Holgate, Williams, Martina; Schneiderlin, Gueye, Sigurdsson, Rooney, Lennon; Calvert-Lewin
For the Blues, Conte rested a number of first-team players for the Carabao Cup game against Bournemouth on Wednesday.
Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois to return to the starting XI on Saturday.
Striker, Alvaro Morata, who scored a last-gasp winner against Bournemouth will not play after receiving second half red card and will in turn miss the trip to Merseyside through suspension.
